Who are the Shining Stars?
The Shining Stars Project is a 501(3)(c) non-profit organization. We are an inclusive performing arts program dedicated to providing a creative space for individuals of all abilities. We believe that every star, regardless of their physical, emotional, or intellectual challenges, should have the opportunity to express themselves through the performing arts. From acting and dancing to music and theater, we provide a platform where talents can be nurtured, confidence grows, and community thrives. Our program prioritizes inclusivity, accessibility, and collaboration. Supporting their artistic journey fosters an environment where every star feels welcome to shine.
Meet Our Team

President: Vivian David-Nicolas
Vivian has been serving as the President of The Shining Stars Project since it opened its doors in 2023. Her professional background consists of having worked with neurodivergent individuals across the span of over 30 years, in both clinical and educational settings. Personally, her ongoing passion for the performing arts since she was a child inspired her to combine interest with populations she has supported in her professional experience and open the world to a group of talented artists in a creative space.

Project Coordinator: Rachel Pearre
Rachel Pearre is a local theater performer and educator with a passion for inclusive arts. Joining The Shining Stars Project as a teaching artist in 2023, Rachel continues to guide the program’s curriculum to accommodate each Star based on their natural gifts and talents. With a background in Positive Discipline, she passionately creates a classroom based on mutual dignity and respect for both stars and teachers. Theater creates community, and it is our responsibility to integrate and invite personal growth for individuals of all abilities in the performing arts.
